Villa Estuary

Villa Estuary is located at No. 561/A, Athuruwella, Induruwa 80510, in the Galle District of Southern Sri Lanka. It is approximately 5km south of Bentota, 90 minutes from Colombo, and 300m from Induruwa Beach.

Villa Estuary is approximately 300 metres from Induruwa Beach, across the main road. Villa 4, our separate private estate, is about 400 metres from the beach.

Yes, breakfast is included in all room rates at Villa Estuary. Guests can choose between a Sri Lankan breakfast (hoppers, string hoppers, pancake, bread with pol sambol) or an English breakfast (eggs, sausages, bread with butter and jam). Both options include fresh juice, tropical fruit and your choice of Ceylon tea, coffee or milk. Subject to daily availability.

Yes. Our Sri Lankan cooking class is open to our guests and outside visitors alike. Classes run every day, last 3 hours, and are hosted by Oshika, our Japanese-speaking culinary host. From $50 per person.

Yes. Our host Oshika is a former Japanese language teacher and speaks Japanese fluently. She can assist Japanese guests with the cooking class, local experiences, and full Sri Lanka travel planning in Japanese.

Yes. Extra beds are available on request for the Garden Suite and Estuary Suite. Extra adult (13+) is charged at a flat $20 per night including breakfast, in every season. Children under 6 stay free sharing the parents bed, and children aged 6 to 12 pay a reduced child rate. Subject to availability — please request at time of booking.

Yes. Villa Estuary has a private outdoor swimming pool set in a tropical garden with views over the estuary. The pool is shaded by trees and available to all guests throughout the day at no extra charge.

Yes. Villa Estuary is very family friendly. Children under 6 stay free when sharing their parents bed, and children aged 6 to 12 pay a reduced child rate, the property is quiet and enclosed with a garden and pool, and families can book connecting suites or the whole house for extra space. The nearby sea turtle hatchery is a favourite with children.

Yes. All suites and Deluxe Rooms have air conditioning and free high speed WiFi throughout the property. Guests regularly mention the WiFi being reliable, which makes Villa Estuary suitable for remote work and longer stays.

Yes. Free private parking is available on site, with ample space for guest vehicles.

Yes. We can arrange private airport transfers from Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo or from anywhere on the island. Please request this when booking. The drive from Colombo takes around 90 minutes via the Southern Expressway.

Standard check in is from 2:00 PM and check out by 11:00 AM, but we are flexible. As a small family run property we can usually accommodate early arrivals, late departures and overnight flight schedules. Just let us know your plans when booking.

The Turtle Research Project is only about 120 metres from Villa Estuary, roughly a two minute walk. The larger Induruwa Sea Turtle Conservation Centre is around 2.7 kilometres south, a five to eight minute tuk tuk ride. We are happy to help guests arrange a visit to either.

Yes. Villa Estuary sits in Induruwa, five kilometres from Bentota and around 35 kilometres from Galle Fort. Bentota river safaris, whale watching, the Madu River wetlands, Kosgoda and Lunuganga are all within easy reach, making it a convenient base for day trips along the Southern Coast.

Breakfast is included with every stay. For groups of five adults or more, we are happy to arrange home-cooked Sri Lankan lunch and dinner, as well as a garden barbecue evening, with advance notice so that we can bring in a cook. For smaller bookings we are not currently able to offer lunch or dinner, but there are plenty of good restaurants in Induruwa and Bentota, and we are always glad to recommend a few.

We love animals, but for the comfort of all our guests, pets are strictly not permitted inside the suites or rooms. Your pet is very welcome to join you when you are out and about, or can stay leashed near the entrance of your suite while you are there. Thank you for understanding.

We accept cash on arrival and bank transfer, both local and international. We can also accept USDT or USDC by prior arrangement. Please contact us directly to discuss payment details for your booking.

To confirm a direct booking we ask for a 20% deposit by bank transfer (local or international), with the balance payable on arrival in cash or by bank transfer. For the Whole Property and Villa 4 the deposit is 40%. You can cancel for a full refund of your deposit up to 7 days before arrival, or up to 14 days before arrival for stays in peak season (December to March). Later cancellations and no-shows are charged the first night. If your plans change, we are happy to move your booking to new dates free of charge, subject to availability. Bookings made through Booking.com, Agoda or Airbnb follow the terms shown on that platform.

Yes. We offer monthly long stay rates for stays of 28 nights or more between April and November, with air conditioning and utilities included. Long stay rates are available on direct bookings only. Contact us at info@villaestuary.com or call +94 779 522 689 to enquire about current rates.
