Villa Estuary · Induruwa · Southern Sri Lanka
Join us for a hands-on cooking class where you'll learn to prepare a full authentic Sri Lankan meal from scratch — freshly scraped coconut, slow-cooked curries in clay pots, fragrant rice, and traditional condiments. Under the guidance of our host Oshika, you'll discover the spices, techniques and stories behind some of Sri Lanka's most beloved dishes.
The class ends with everyone sitting down together to enjoy what they've cooked — in the garden under the palms, beside the peaceful water stream that runs alongside the villa, or indoors. A genuine taste of Sri Lankan hospitality in one of the most beautiful settings on the Southern Coast.
Oshika brings a rare blend of warmth, precision and cultural curiosity to every class. A former Japanese language teacher and government professional turned passionate home baker and culinary enthusiast, she has spent years perfecting the art of Sri Lankan home cooking — the kind passed down through generations, not found in restaurants. Her classes are as much about stories and spices as they are about the food itself.
